Artist Statement

The main source of inspiration for my designs is to go into empty, deserted and isolated places and discover the remnants of what was once there. The evidence of life and history is everywhere. I have spent time in old dilapitated buildings to capture the decaying textures of the environment surrounding me. I also spend time in antique stores looking for objects from the past to incorporate into my designs. I like to take photographs of old, worn and tattered objects or places and include them with newer elements to create tension in my designs.
